"This Is Me" is a documentary series created, directed, and produced by Valentina Vigliarolo. Valentina was inspired by her sister, Vera, to show the reality of someone's life with special needs. The goal is not just to break stereotypes and show that "normality" is obscured, but that everyone is different not just kids or even adults with special needs. Like everyone else, people with special needs have their hobbies, favorites, dislikes, and their own personalities. All that is different is the way they see and approach life. This docuseries delivers a message of acceptance rather than inclusion. Inclusion should not be something that should be asked of, but accepting others and accepting the fact that everyone is different in their own ways is more achievable.
